About Me

I have a creative mind and like to make Things.

From designing and machining precision components for aerospace, defense, medical, and oil industries, to crafting custom wooden art, I combine technical expertise with creativity. Every project, whether industrial or artistic, is guided by skill, attention to detail, and a passion for making ideas tangible.

Brian Hussey as a programming and engineering manager in an aerospace machine shop

Working in the aerospace industry programming parts for Boeing, McDonnell Douglas and Hughes Aircraft. I was the programming and liaison manager for a large manufacturing company in southern California.

Brian Hussey Carrier Ring. I did the majority of the cnc milling on this part.

I began my career serving a four-year apprenticeship with the largest sub-contract machine shop in England, training as a fitter and turner (CNC machinist). The company, founded in 1878, blended a deep industrial legacy with some of the most modern equipment and technology of its time.

During that apprenticeship, I gained hands-on experience machining components for the aerospace, defense, oil, nuclear, and process plant industries, including pumps, valves, and compressors. I’m shown on the far right in this photo — where I completed the majority of the CNC milling on the Intelsat VI carrier ring, one of the more complex and rewarding projects early in my career.
